Craig knows how valuable it is for young people to play team sports both from the perspective of a young person in the game and while coaching camps and individual skills training for more than 30 years. When he was three years old, his parents started him playing soccer in Leeds, England, which is considered to be England’s largest “one-club” city. He went on to play club soccer for the famed Leeds semiprofessional club, the Guiseley Association Football Club (AFC). Craig also played the State and District Teams; has he got stories to tell! When Craig turned 17, he was recruited to coach for the well-known local junior club, Guiseley Dynamo, which trained area youth in the fine art of soccer. At 18 he was one of the youngest in England to pass the Football Association Prelim Badge at Leeds United FC. Subsequently Craig started coaching in the Leeds United Development Scheme which serves to train young aspiring footballers. After a successful year he decided he wanted to coach the great game of soccer to kids ‘across the pond’ in the States. Traveling all over the US working youth soccer camps, Craig eventually settled down in Arlington, Texas, where he taught soccer skills for Texas Lightning Soccer Club as the Girls Coaching Director. During his time there, he facilitated the placement of many of the club’s junior athletes in colleges on Soccer Scholarships. Craig has been a coach for young aspiring footballers for over 30 years because of his own special experiences as a youth. The deep affection and passion for the game which he has known all his life he is committed to pass on to future generations. To your young generation.
